High winds and thunderstorms are blowing through North Texas on Tuesday, but conditions will be dry and clear tonight for Valentine's evening.
Widespread showers and embedded thunderstorms will push out by mid-morning. As the rain moves out, the wind takes over. Powerful winds are expected to gust over 50 mph today from the southwest.A second and stronger system pushes in by Wednesday evening bringing another round of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could turn severe across parts of our area, especially to the east of DFW.
