Thunderstorm chances will begin climbing Thursday afternoon as a cold front draws near. The chance of rain will be highest from DFW to the east. Some storms could be severe with a risk of hail and high winds. Heavy rain will be possible with the stronger storms, leading to isolated rain totals around 1-2." Locations to the west, however, will likely miss out on the rain. A few leftover showers are possible Friday morning before sunshine returns in the afternoon.
