The latest music festival to be held at Homebush attracted a heavy police presence.

A total of 27 people were arrested for a combination of drug supply and possession charges at the Hidden Music Festival in Olympic Park on Saturday.

More than 2500 people attended the "underground" music event in Homebush, which also attracted a heavy police presence.Credit:Police said they conducted a high visibility operation and searched 165 people, which resulted in drug supply charges being laid against three people and drug possession charges against a further 24.

A 20-year-old Oakhurst man, who was allegedly found with 10 MDMA capsules, and a 20-year-old West Wallsend woman, allegedly found with 12 MDMA capsules, were charged with supplying a prohibited drug.An 18-year-old Berowra man was charged with supply and possess prohibited drug, after he was allegedly found with a substance believed to be methamphetamine and four MDMA capsules.

The spate of fatalities has prompted calls for pill testing to be made available at festivals in NSW - a measure repeatedly ruled out by Premier Gladys Berejiklian.Nine people were cautioned for cannabis use and four were given court attendance notices for re-entering licensed premises after being removed.
