Nona Gaprindashvili, one of the top chess players in the world in the 1970s, has advanced her pieces against Netflix over. The former Georgia grandmaster filed a defamation suit on Thursday against the streamer.
The hit series focuses on the rise of fictional chess player Beth Harmon and is based on a 1983 novel.
