Fresh out the oven, but first baked in 1973
The RC30's exact predecessor is the New Balance Trackster. The self-styled 'world's first running shoe' was first released in 1960, and the slightly bowling alley maroon/white colourway is a far cry from modern racers. But look closer, and the RC30's genetics are all there: a rippled sole, a smooth design and a focus on comfort.
The paint job's nicer this time round, too. Now available in blue, grey and off-white , the RC30 is set to drop further colourways over the coming months. Then, there's an official collab set for a 18 July release withdisco suit revivalist Donald Glover. It's the same RC30, but available in a canary yellow with suede accents throughout. And it is very, very nice.
