A new class of Court Appointed Special Advocates were sworn in Thursday in a Dauphin County Courtroom.

The advocate is intended to be an extra set of eyes and ears of the court—gathering information about the child and making recommendations to the judge.Matthew Pillers, a new CASA volunteer spoke to CBS 21 News and said of the role:In any given month, there are over 300 children in the county's foster care system. These six new advocates will help the court better serve these kids.
