“From Collingwood’s perspective, there’s no issue,” 7NEWS Melbourne’s Tom Browne reported on“Players don’t need permission to go somewhere for their mid-season break, it’s entirely up to the player.
“There’s some vision of him apparently training with a local team in Bali, so he’s keeping himself fit,” Browne said. Cornes unleashed a ruthless assessment of Collingwood’s willingness to allow De Goey to get away overseas during the break.“How could you think going to Bali in the mid-season break when you’re Jordan De Goey was a good idea?” he said on SEN on Thursday.
“I’m sure he will behave himself, but the fact that he has been lured into temptation in the past,” he said.He added: “Everything is flying at Collingwood. Everything is going beautifully. They’ve forgiven him and he’s going okay, his form is probably playing to 70 per cent of his potential and has a level to go,” he said.
