Northern Territory health groups and the opposition are criticising the NT government for what they say is a lack of information about developments in the COVID-19 situation over the Christmas period.
Since Saturday, the government's statements have said most cases in hospital were there for assessment and infection control purposes only, which has previously been handled through the transfer of cases and contacts to the Howard Springs quarantine facility.
Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation NT branch secretary Cath Hatcher said she was surprised the NT government had not been holding public briefings. "It's always better for public morale for authority figures to actually inform the public, so I think would be better for the government to have a press conference," he said.Low testing rate in Nhulunbuy after positive wastewater
