RMS Titanic Inc has released new haunting footage and photos of the Titanic wreck showing the ship to be in a state of immense decay.

Haunting new images and footage of the Titanic have been released, serving as a grim “reminder” of the ship's condition after more than a century since its tragic sinking.

“After 13 days focused on the debris field, the expedition team was excited to get their first glance at the bow on July 29,” it said. “Over the course of the next few weeks and months, we will conduct a more thorough review of Titanic’s condition and her changes over time,” it said. RMS Titanic Inc’s director of collections Tomasina Ray told the BBC: “The bow of Titanic is just iconic - you have all these moments in pop culture - and that's what you think of when you think of the shipwreck.”“It's just another reminder of the deterioration that's happening every day. People ask all the time: ‘How long is Titanic going to be there?’ We just don't know but we're watching it in real time.

Titanic researcher James Pence spoke of the"momentous" discovery, saying it was"like finding a needle in a haystack".
