Newly installed HISD board to meet Thursday as community groups plan protest against takeover
interim contract, following a protest planned over the state's takeover of HISD outside district headquarters.
The protest is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and the meeting is set to start at 5:30 p.m. Both will be held at Hattie Mae White building at 4400 W. 18th St.
