Hotel Indigo is one of three hotels planned so far at MidCity, a sprawling Huntsville mixed-use development that's home to the Orion Amphitheatre and Trader Joe's.
The hotel will have 120 rooms in a five-story building, according to the plans originally announced in January 2020. It will be the fourth Hotel Indigo in Alabama, preceded by locations in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa and Orange Beach.
Chattanooga-based ViaNova Developments is overseeing the hotel project while Louisville-based Buffalo Construction will handle construction. Private investment at MidCity is expected to surpass $1 billion, according to developer RCP Companies of Huntsville.
