New internal study on Odyssey demonstrates improved value and extended mine life - Agnico Eagle AgnicoEagle
- Agnico Eagle announced today that the company has completed a new internal study on the Odyssey mine, which forms part of the company's 100% owned Canadian Malartic complex, to reflect progress to date and the new economic environment.
With a larger mineable gold mineral resource, the Odyssey mine life has been extended by three years to 2042 and the average annual payable production is now approximately 558,000 ounces of gold from 2029 to 2041 . “Costs estimates, including underground development and mining costs, processing costs and equipment procurement, reflect the new cost environment following three years of high inflationary cost pressures,” the company said.
