New list of unclaimed estates that could be worth small fortune

Estates are kept for 30 years before they become the property of the Crown and treasury

How many of us imagine discovering a long lost relative who just happens to want to leave us their estate? Well, apparently there are dozen of unclaimed inheritances across the country and literally dozens of names with Nottinghamshire links.

The Treasury Solicitor publishes a list of such estates where a claim on the assets has not been made. We've listed below some of the Nottinghamshire names currently on the list, so if one matches yours you could be in for a windfall, albeit in sad circumstances.The Division publishes a list of unclaimed estates which have been recently referred, but not yet administered, and historic cases which have been administered but not yet been claimed within the time limits for doing so.
