The movie will be directed by filmmaking partners Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, best known for their work on"Captain Marvel.
"reports that"Freaky Tales" will take place in Oakland circa 1987 and revolve around four interconnected stories, some based on historical events, and drawing inspiration from Fleck's Bay Area upbringing. It's unclear how much material will be lifted from the song, but given Too Short's role as executive producer, fans of Bay Area hip-hop will certainly notice a few Easter eggs.
