Divorcing couples no longer need to put blame on one another in new rules from today. Here's what it means for families.
Until now, divorcing couples had to wait two years or put the blame on one party for the separation if they divorced within this time frame. 'It removes unnecessary finger-pointing and acrimony at a time where emotions are already running high, and spares children from witnessing their parents mudslinging.'
With no one ‘at blame’, it’s thought it’ll make custody arrangements easier and fairer on both the parents and their children, who are often caught in the crossfire.
