Mr Hudson’s announcement comes after a pro-Palestine protest took place outside the Sydney Opera House where the sails of the building were lit in the colours of the Israeli flag. “Today we announce the commencement of Operation Shelter,” Mr Hudson said during a media conference on Wednesday. "This operation will coordinate a NSW police force response to the activities that lay in front of us.

“The operation will capture all intelligence available to us in relation to community sentiment, potential protest activity, and potential demonstrations that might take place in the future."
