Authorities discovered bomb-making materials at a nearby Airbnb Jabbar attempted to set ablaze to conceal evidence. The FBI revealed that Jabbar, inspired by the Islamic State, intended to use the transmitter to detonate the IEDs, highlighting his chilling plan to inflict even greater harm.

However, in a bid to hide the evidence, the 42-year-old former US army veteran had strategically placed accelerants throughout the Airbnb and had tried to set it on fire the plan was foiled when the fire extinguished before it could spread sufficiently.
