New Easter payment dates for State Pension, PIP and other benefits due over bank holiday weekend
Easter falls on Sunday, April 9 this year which means some State Pension and benefit payments due to be made on Good Friday or bank holiday Monday will land in accounts early. The Department for Work and Pensions and HM Revenue and Customs have confirmed changes to upcoming payment dates to ensure people receive their money on a day when Jobcentre Plus offices and phone lines are open.
Payments delivered by DWP including State Pension, Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment and other benefits due to be made on Friday April 7, or Monday April 10, will be paid on Thursday April 6, 2023. HMRC has also confirmed that Child Benefit payments due on Monday April 10 will land in bank accounts on April 6.
DWP has also announced that office and phone lines will be open as usual from Tuesday, April 11. Below is a full list of payments due to be made early.
