New Pilates-inspired gym Solidcore comes to Rice Village
[solidcore], a new gym concept featuring 50-minute works on a Pilates-inspired reformer machine, has opened in Rice Village.Rice Village is home to a new gym concept in which customers spend just under an hour doing a full-body workout on a Pilates-inspired reformer machine.
Solidcore is a membership-based gym that offers 50-minute workouts on"sweatlana," a fitness machine where exercisers use slow movements against the machine's springs to create a"high-intensity, low-impact full-body workout." The nationwide gym chain's newest location at 2411 Times Blvd. in Rice Village opened Feb. 11, and is its third overall in Houston.
“We are thrilled to welcome a fitness concept such as to Rice Village and to continue creating a differentiated experience for our community,” Rice Village’s General Manager Aj Jennings said in a statement. “It’s always exciting to see the Village’s offerings expand.”
