Peter Pizzeria is opening in an old bank
. Food lovers are greeted at the building - a former bank in Low Pavement, in the city centre - by a sign which proudly reads 'No throwing pizzas past this point,' followed by retro paraphernalia including old teenage mutant ninja turtles and pineapple toys.
The new store in Nottingham, set to open on August 7, is no different. Peters announced its arrival to the city by an ad showing chefangrily shouting 'you not coming to Nottingham' and 'you don't belong on pizza' to a group of pineapples as shots of Old Market Square and Pepper Street are shown side-by-side with footage of pizzas being cooked.
"When we started doing Neapolitan pizzas ten years ago the market wasn't as big and the woodfire ovens we had inside were a health and safety nightmare. Around London, there were places like that, but not in the East Midlands.
