As the overturning of Roe v Wade has led to the increasing criminalisation of abortion in the US, South Australia is set to move into a ‘new era’ of abortion law. 7NEWS
has said this measure ‘undermines the autonomy of women’ and creates ‘unnecessary delays and burdens’.
Another change to the Termination of Pregnancy Act will allow pregnant people to access telehealth abortion care, which is especially important in rural and remote areas and during periods of required isolation due to COVID and the like.
