The area, on Macquarie St on the eastern side of the CBD, will be known as 'Queen Elizabeth II Place' in honour of the seven-decade reign of the late monarch.Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced a 'visionary project' to be built in Sydney CBD in honour of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Prime Minister said the establishment of the place will ensure the Queen will be forever remembered. "Regardless of where people stand on other issues, Queen Elizabeth II is someone who is admired and respected," Anthony Albanese said.The creation of Queen Elizabeth II Place will involve the demolition of an existing building."In the 60s and 70s they just built these things, and they've brutalised the great, historic Macquarie St."
