A report surrounding Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo's future in the sport has been shut down after the Australian driver recorded another poor result at his home event.
Suggestions Aussie F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo could be axed if he does not perform at next two races is 'premature'
A report suggesting Daniel Ricciardo was set to be dumped from his seat with RB has been rubbished after an average result at the Australian GP. Picture: Peter Fox/Getty Images The publication said it"understands" New Zealand driver Liam Lawson - who is a Red Bull reserve driver - would fill the seat beginning in Miami for the rest of the season.
In a piece titled"The truth behind Ricciardo Miami rumours", the journalist said he has approached"trusted sources" at Red Bull who denied the gossip. This Ricciardo/Miami rumours... Utter nonsense. Story emerged on Sunday morning, I checked it with Red Bull, RB, and Daniel's management, and other sources. No truth to it.This was emphasised by Dr Marko who told Sky Germany that the eight-time Grand Prix winner needed a"safe and confident car" which he has not been given yet.
He was one of two drivers yet to score a point up to July, with a best finish of 12th place and had been beaten in qualifying 7-2 against Tsunoda.
