“The set is released at 9am UK time. So expect Monday evening Australia time, that the Royal Mint UK website is going to crash pretty much.
“The demand for this will shoot through the roof. I think the Australians get on to it quickly, then that’s going to be worth getting into.”While the collection is being released in Australia, Kandiah believes the set will still be in high demand in Australia.“I’m not sure what the release price for those coins are. Usually when they release those coins individually, they sell for about £15 each in the base metal ones and they might they’ll probably end up doing a rose gold version.
“They’re really good at what they do over there compared to our Mint who are absolutely useless in their processes, research, development.“The Mint UK have got it down to a tee, I can always stuff down I know come to Perth within two, three weeks.”“Designed by British sculptor Martin Jennings and personally approved by His Majesty The King, the first definitive coinage portrait of the monarch appears on each new coin in the collection,” the Royal Mint writes on its website.
“On 3 October 2022, we are honoured to be releasing a special collection of memorial coins to mark this poignant moment in British history.
