Two festivals that were cancelled following violent scenes in Liverpool city centre have been rescheduled. Celebrating Castle Street and Celebrating Bold Street festivals were set to take place on Sunday, August 4 and 11, respectively but were postponed due to concerns after riots broke out in the city centre on August 3. The festivals celebrate two of the city's most iconic streets with food, drink and live music and entertainment for all ages to enjoy.
' A new update from Bill Addy has confirmed the team is planning to reschedule the festivals for autumn. His statement said: 'The work we do at Liverpool BID Company is about building a community. It’s about recognising that we are stronger when we work together. 'The violence we saw, the fear it engendered, could have split us apart. But it didn’t. Instead, we worked together, cleaned up, tidied up, spoke honestly about what we need next, and took care of each other.
