I’ve customarily been matter-of-fact and unrestrained in expressing opinions on abortion. But I’ve learned, sometimes painfully, that on this most personal of subjects, one rarely knows if he’s talking with someone who has had one, under what circumstances, and how devastating the experience was. So during the coming conflagration and beyond, I resolve to be more sensitive in what I say, how I say it, and to whom.I resolve to make my wants/desires a priority in my life.
Ahh, the fresh start of a new year! Amid political and pandemic turmoil, I’ll work harder to follow the Serenity Prayer: changing what I can and accepting what I cannot change. I resolve to thank God daily for His blessings and to share those blessings with others. And if I can muster the will to declutter my basement, it will truly be a banner year!My hopes for 2022 are very similar to those from the past: good health and prosperity for everyone.
