The investigation will look into the roles of semi-automatic guns, social media and the intelligence agencies prior to 15 March atrocity, which killed 50 people.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced a royal commission into the events leading up to a deadly attack on two mosques in Christchurch.
Ms Ardern says the inquiry will look into what 'could have and should have been done' to prevent the attack as well as investigating the alleged perpetrator and his activities before the terrorist attack.
