“We had some huge European nights and results that season, although it didn’t start very well. Bobby being Bobby, he didn’t let those three defeats get to us. He had that aura of positivity; “Just one win lads and then once you’ve got that…”. It was his way of motivating us and it was infectious. We got that first victory and then we were on a roll.
“We were in Milan and there’s no way we contemplated it being the finish of anything. We thought we were going places.”
