NFL star wounded in nightclub mass shooting
Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was wounded during a mass shooting at a Florida nightclub on Sunday .
The 24-year-old was not involved in the altercation that led to the violence, but was rushed to hospital with a “minor wound”,“We are in contact with him and his family and will provide more updates when appropriate, but we ask that you please respect his privacy at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the incident.”
The shooting occurred while two Seminole County Sheriff’s deputies had been out front checking on a large crowd, according to WESH.The suspect was charged with attempted homicide, firing a weapon in a public place, using a firearm during a felony and illegal possession of a firearm by a minor. Dell is coming off a rookie campaign that showed plenty of promise before a broken fibula interrupted things.
