Tanner Molendyk, who skated his way into the first round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, was quick to sign with the Nashville Predators.
“It was unbelievable,” said Molendyk at the time. “You don’t really get to experience that kind of stuff too many times in your life, but I think it really didn’t come to my head that it happened.”“It was unreal,” said Molendyk. “There were guys from the age of 25 to 17, so I was just picking little things from their game and putting them into my game, I would say. That was one of the biggest things I took out of there.
“I think that, with my playoffs, that was a big thing . I thought people always doubted my offence and all that, but I was never the main guy . I don’t blame that for anything, but I don’t think there was a doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t go in the first round.”Article content
