A mum from Co Armagh has spoken about the impact her daughter's cancer diagnosis has had on the family and the support they have received while undergoing treatment.
Speaking to Belfast Live to mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Ernestine added: "In the hospital, you're in this cocoon. You just get your head down as you know you have to get through it, and it's actually when you get home that you're landed back into everyday life and don't know what to do with yourself.
Although she is now in recovery, Charlotte still attends regular appointments and has lasting challenges to face. Ernestine has praised the support the Cancer Fund for Children in particular have provided both to Charlotte and to the wider family in processing the diagnosis and treatment, as well as providing some well-needed respite for all.
