'I fear that soon, we will no longer be able to provide the same widespread level of care to patients that we were once able to' Sp
We caught up with Paul McKenna from Lockview Pharmacy, Stranmillis to find out how he's helping to support people in his local community.
I know that my own pharmacy team has demonstrated time and again that we are the front door to the health service, and the safety net of primary care. We are seeing increasing numbers of patients and alongside workforce issues which have left our pharmacies busier and more stretched than ever. I fear that soon, we will no longer be able to provide the same widespread level of care to patients that we were once able to.
Unless urgent support is delivered to the sector, the already grave situation will intensify, and local patients will continue to miss out.
