Natwest said former boss Dame Alison Rose, who resigned last month amid the fallout will receive a bumper pay package
Nigel Farage has branded the £2.4 million pay package which will go to the exectuve who resigned over his bank account closure a ‘sick joke’. .
Mr Farage said the multi million payout to NatWest former boss Dame Alison Rose was a “sick joke”. Posting a video on Twitter in response to the news, Mr Farage said: “When I heard the news, I thought perhaps it was a sick joke. Surely, you cannot breach client confidentiality, you can’t break virtually every important rule in the FCA codebook and you can’t then lie about it after you brief the BBC and still receive a £2.43 million payout.
“This is the corrupt British establishment looking after its own. It’s the corrupt British establishment at its very, very worst. Former Ukip leader Nigel Farage revealed that Coutts, which is owned by NatWest Group, had moved to shut down his bank account. Mr Farage was identified as a PEP – someone who holds public office in the UK or overseas, or has a family member who does. It means financial firms must treat their accounts with extra due diligence.
