It comes after the Australian and America n staff of a local defence facility hosted a haunted house with roots in the 1960s.On a hot summer night in a remote Western Australian town, ghouls, vampires, and witches line the street.It's a sign that Halloween season has returned to the popular tourist town of Exmouth, more than 1,200 kilometres north of Perth.
Other holidays like Independence Day and Thanksgiving were also celebrated in Exmouth, but Halloween was a particular hit with local children."The generation grew up with the Americans, I think we probably appreciate it more for what it is," Ms Brown said.
