Nintendo’s still keeping mum about the Switch 2 no matter what you ask them about it When it comes to the Nintendo Switch 2, the only detail Nintendo has so much as hinted at is that it will retain the existing account system for the current Switch. This is something Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser also corroborated recently, adding that the goal with the account system is to allow for a smoother transition when the company launches its next console.
It also makes sense considering the current Switch remains popular; recent sales figures from Japan are very healthy for a console that’s over six years old. Plus, not everyone will be able or willing to jump ship to a new console straight away.
