Two defensive TDs, late two-point conversion aid Spartans

The Spartans , who scored defensive touchdowns in the first and fourth quarters, trailed 27-14 with less than 10 minutes to play, but De’zie Jones scored on a long TD pass to pull the team within 27-20. DePaul scored again with less than six minutes to play when linebacker Jeremy Lopez intercepted a deflected pass and returned it 60 yards. Despite having a penalty push the Spartans back to the 18-yard line for the conversion, Derek Zammit threw a two-point pass to Jones for the final margin.
Don Bosco had fallen behind 14-0 early when DePaul scored its first defensive TD on a 40-yard fumble return by Cartier Canady and added a short scoring run by Zammit.
