Adams State didn’t gain a first down until the second half, as Mines raced out to a 49-0 lead and never looked back. Quarterback John Matocha threw for 341 yards and five touchdowns on 20-of-26 passing, Max McLeod hauled in five passes for 109 yards and five Orediggers ran in scores. The defense registered 12 tackles for loss and Mines outgained Adams State 639 yards to 91.
The Grizzlies’ lone score came with 2:41 left in the third quarter. At that point, the Orediggers were up 56-7 and Matocha’s day was long done. Foster backs his way into the endzone as we have now scored on 1⃣0⃣ of 1⃣1⃣ possessions this afternoon
