NSW five-eigth Jarome Luai had to be pulled out of the water at Urbnsurf when the Blues hit the water on Tuesday morning.

The Blues completed a recovery session at the new $75m aquatic centre at Sydney Olympic Park on Tuesday morning – but nobody expected Luai to be plucked from the cold water.

“I think my life flashed before my eyes out there,” Luai said with a grin. “I attacked it, it was a bit of a dare from the boys. It was a good laugh, hey? “All us brown boys were , we were a bit hesitant, but the boys dared me to do – it’s the culture, we wanted a laugh today, and I’m sure people got a good laugh out of that,” Luai said.
