Earlier this month an opposition and crossbench-controlled committee referred a report into the Rosehill Racecourse redevelopment plan to the anti-corruption body over “concerns regarding direct dealings and conflicts of interest”. However, an assessment panel comprising three commissioners and senior staff has decided not to pursue the matter. The Rosehill Raceourse redevelopment plan will see the racetrack relocated, with the land being used for 25,000 new homes and a new metro station. The report referred to the ICAC had found that Mr Minns had been pitched the idea to sell the racetrack by a long-time friend in a meeting that was inaccurately and misleading disclosed.
