Atlantic City picked up 16 inches of snow on Saturday, which is the ninth biggest one-day snowfall in the city’s history. ARobertsCBS reports.
Despite the plows paving the way, driving to the Shore Saturday along a snow-covered Atlantic City Expressway – was just as slippery as being at the Shore, where the winds whipped along the famed boardwalk for the brave few who braved the blizzard.Along Atlantic Avenue, the shops and streets were mostly empty, filled only by the sound of the shovels.
“I was trying to go home, and I turned too quickly as I was stopping and slid right into a snow drift,” Burce Holzman said. While the white stuff was a hassle for many, several go-getters Eyewitness News spotted were only seeing green“The rent is on the first, and I’m going to have my rent money on the first,” Amir Mainor said.“We’re trying to get people out of the driveways and pathways before it gets real cold and icy, you know,” Mainor said.“Everyone kind of lends a hand if they can, it’s just that kind of place,” Trigg said.
