By 10 a.m. Wednesday, large excavators had removed parts of the railway needing repairs or lifted salvageable train cars and placed them back on the track. The train had 237 cars and a combined weight of 25,000 tons, per official.

RAVENNA TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Work crews were expected to have Norfolk Southern Railway lines back in service Wednesday night, a little more than 24 hours after a derailment knocked 22 cars off a track.
