The home in a Northamptonshire village is one of six projects to compete for this year's RIBA awards for the East Midlands.RIBA East Midlands jury chair Ian Bramwell said the sustainable house was "sensitively crafted to meet the very particular needs of their clients". Those on the shortlist will be visited by a regional jury, and the winners will be announced this spring.
The winners of regional awards will then be considered for several of RIBA other awards and could be shortlisted for the RIBA Stirling Prize – the UK’s best new building - which will be announced in October. Properties in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire have also been shortlisted for the regional award.
