That means that the Activity Center generates more energy than it uses. The building achieved that through the use of a significant quantity of solar panels, an advanced automation system, and the design of the building, in terms of insulation, the placement of windows and other design elements, Leiner explained.
Rich Rushkewicz, founding CEO and current Vice Chairman of Northbrook Bank & Trust Company, N.A., praised the bank’s long association with the Northbrook Park District.
