The fall colors in Northeast Ohio were extraordinarily vibrant this year, due in part to the presence of several chilly evenings. But was this October cooler than normal? Our First Alert Meteorologists took a look:

CLEVELAND, Ohio - As the headline implies, October was a slightly cooler-than-typical, and drier-than-average.In Akron, the average temperature was 53.6 degrees.Mansfield, Toledo, and Youngstown also reported below-normal temperatures last month.Cleveland accumulated 3.34 inches of precipitation, which is about a quarter of an inch below normal for October.Mansfield, Toledo, and Youngstown experienced very dry conditions last month.Toledo only accumulated 0.

This year, the colors were extraordinarily vibrant, due in part to the presence of several chilly Fall evenings.As of Halloween, Fall color in Northeast Ohio was technically past its peak, however, there are still plenty of colorful leaves left on many local trees.As we look forward to November, the sunsets will get earlier, and the temperatures will get colder.The 19 First Alert Weather Team is forecasting May-like warmth and high temperatures in the 70s later this week.
