A disappointing summer weather-wise to say the least
As we enter the final weeks of the summer months, it feels like Northern Ireland has been cheated out of any warm weather.
Storm Betty brought strong winds and wet weather across the country last week but thankfully, things are looking a lot more mild. After the occasional shower on Sunday evening, here is what we can expect from the weather for the week ahead. The Met Office said:Cloud and outbreaks of rain will spread to the west in the afternoon and across eastern areas during the evening. Breezy.Outlook for Tuesday 22 to Thursday 24: A cloudy start to Tuesday, sunshine and showers into the afternoon.
"Eastern areas have a higher likelihood of seeing more frequent showers, some of which may turn heavy or thundery, while western areas are most likely to see some drier spells."Temperatures are expected to be close to normal for many but may be slightly depressed in wetter or windy areas. "Moving into early September, a continuation of the unsettled theme is most likely, with northern areas perhaps having the greater chance of rain and showers, while any drier spells are more likely in the south."
