Less cloud cover means there is a chance to see the spectacular geomagnetic activity in some regions of the the British Isles
The lights, also known as aurora borealis, could be visible across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England.
Jonathan Vautrey, a Met Office meteorologist, said there will be pretty ideal conditions to see the stunning light show tonight “because there’s going to be very little cloud”. He said there’s also an opportunity to see the stunning lightshow on the north Norfolk coast, and it could be easier to see them through a “camera or telescope”.
