David L. Holdcraft, 28, of Bucyrus, Ohio, had hundreds of child-porn images and videos, and recorded himself sexually abusing a 5-year-old child, authorities say.
CLEVELAND, Ohio — A Bucyrus man has been sentenced to 24 years in prison after he was found with hundreds of images and videos of child pornography, some showing children who were just toddlers, and also recorded himself performing sex acts with a 5-year-old, authorities say.
“The cruelty and depravity of this defendant’s actions are unimaginable and individuals such as this defendant are why the Justice Department and all of law enforcement remain dedicated to protecting the most vulnerable among us by prosecuting dangerous predators,” first assistant U.S. Attorney Michelle Baeppler said in a statement. “We are grateful to the authorities in this case for their hard work in identifying and apprehending this individual.
Some of the images showed children that were only toddlers, prosecutors say. Investigators also seized a child-sized rubber torso from Holdcraft’s bedroom.
