The QantasLink aircraft became stuck Monday evening after the pilot inadvertently guided it across soft ground while slowly taxiing to its parking bay.

A bogged QantasLink aircraft is continuing to cause headaches for crews at Rockhampton Airport five days after it became stuck while taxiing.No-one was injured and other airport services were not affectedA Qantas spokesperson said flight QF1798, travelling into Rockhampton from Brisbane, landed normally on Monday night.

Though the airline's engineering team had made progress on what it described as a "delicate" operation, the aircraft remains stuck."The wheels are in very soft ground and special equipment needs to be brought in from our larger engineering bases," the spokesperson said.No-one was injured when the plane became bogged and all passengers were able to disembark via the stairs.

"But we still didn't know that it was where it was. It certainly wasn't any issue, the staff were just brilliant." Qantas says special equipment needs to be brought in from its larger engineering bases to move the plane.Neil Hansford, aviation analyst and chairman of Strategic Aviation Solutions, said situations like this did not happen very often."In developed countries you don't find incursions like this happening very often, and I've not heard of one like this in Australia in my history in aviation.
