A Senator is among many angry homeowners left shaking their heads after Sky News Australia uncovered RBA Governor Philip Lowe had obtained a half-priced home loan to purchase a five bedroom property in Sydney's east.

Liberal Senator Hollie Hughes has slammed RBA boss Philip Lowe over his half-priced home loan, uncovered by Sky News Australia. “Things have changed, and I don’t think you can necessarily retrospectively change what occurred or what’s happening for people that was part of their employment," she told host Peter Stefanovic on Thursday.
For some years, Mr Lowe's interest rate was locked at half the standard variable rate being paid by Commonwealth Bank customers across Australia with 11 current and former employees still benefitting from the scheme.
