While China tries to superimpose their one country, two system model, Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu reveals he does not think it will work, with public opinion surveys showing Taiwanese people don’t support reunification.
While Australia’s defensive future remains to be seen, the people of Taiwan are already taking matters into their own hands.
Private shooting lessons have nearly quadrupled in the past six months, as Taiwanese locals tell Sky News anchor and investigative journalist Peter Stefanovic they will be prepared for war. Taiwan’s Foreign Minister said the only way reunification with China will be peaceful is if the Taiwanese people think it will be good for them.
“Right now, the Taiwanese people see one country, two system model is not admirable and in public opinion surveys, one after another, show that the people prefer status quo and not reunification with China,” he said.
